Subsurface laser engraving simply means we are engraving beneath the top surface of the crystal. Most lasers can handle X- and Y-axes (2D) on a flat surface. However, ours adds a Z-axis into the mix, which makes it capable of 3D engraving.
If you've ever burnt a leaf using a magnifying glass and sunlight, it's a similar process. But instead of using sunlight, we use industrial-grade lasers with a similar wavelength as used in the healthcare industry. A laser of this type, coupled with professional optics, lightning fast servo-driven mirrors, a little bit of math, and a lot of science – is what it takes to impart your 3D image into a block of crystal.
Great question, but here's the deal – almost any photo will work. Our patented software will automatically apply enhancements as well as a special feature called Cinematic HD in order to make it really pop when we burn it into your crystal. Plus, when you upload your photo, you can preview it immediately inside of the 3D shape that you've chosen.
Our patented software is built alongside over two decades worth of in-person facial scans. When your photo is uploaded, our software scans your image and identifies facial features. Then, using the facial information stored in our databases, 3D effects are applied. It even works with pets!

Of course! Additional costs will apply, but we can place company logos, employee names, service awards information, and almost anything else inside your crystal, and supply a proof to you before moving your project to to production.

Any displays of ours that you see in stores are stocked with crystals that we generate as samples to show what we can do. We will never use a customer's photo in one of our display cases, nor will we share your information with anyone.

No way! It's made to last a lifetime. Subsurface laser engraving means that your image is placed inside of the crystal. So as long as you care for it and don't use abrasive items to 'clean it', it will last forever.
